Ghost House taps writer for 'Au Pair' - Dana Stevens to write thriller based on R.L. Stine novel
Sean Furst and Bryan Furst ("Daybreakers," "The Cooler") are producing with Ghost House principals Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert.
"Au Pair" revolves around a young woman who runs from a troubled relationship by spending a fun-filled, romantic summer as a nanny in a posh Hamptons beach house. This dream job takes a frightening turn when she uncovers a dark secret that haunts her and the kids she's sworn to protect.
Stevens will produce with Ghost House principal Nathan Kahane, Yvonne Bernard and Beth Elise Hawk. Jane Stine and Joan Waricha will co-produce. Anne Blanchard of Mosaic Media brought the book to Sean and Bryan Furst.
Project reteams Stevens with Raimi, who collaborated on "For the Love of the Game," with Raimi directing from a script by Stevens. Her other bigscreen credits include "Life or Something Like It" and "Blink." She also created the TV series "What About Brian."
